Erudio and tax credits. Help!

I've just had a letter stating Erudio won't accept my deferment application as I earn over the threshold. Except they're counting child benefit, child maintenance, working tax credit and childcare tax credit all as 'income'. I thought child benefit and maintenance weren't counted and childcare tax credit is only paid based on your childcare costs, if the costs go down so do your credits so its not 'income'. Can anyone help with this? There no way I can afford the repayments their quoting

Tax credits have always counted as part of income for student loan repayments, and I can't see this changing.

Including non-taxable income such as child benefit is a disgrace.
Read the terms and conditions, even if SLC wrongly included certain items doesn't mean they should be.

Mibby - maybe you'd better make yourself a gallon of tea & read this thread (it may take a while). It'll give you an idea of who Erudio are & how they are treating is very differently from the SLC. There are a few of us single parents on there in similar circumstance :(

It will also give you some advice about how to go about communicating with Erudio as they appear to tell different people different things (whether this is because they're incompetent or have a more sinister agenda is up for debate).
And I find that looking back at you gives a better view, a better view...
