Hi Guys, sllght problem I could do with advice please.
As I set AOL up as 1 of my 2 D/ds for 123 A/ca while ago,, and Aol, have not taken last months money DD, due to renewal of Ac, I stand to lose £48 interest for that month, for Aol not taking £7.
Can I do anything to salvage the interest ?

I thought they had to pay out every month ? to be active.0 -
"Active", in this sense, means not dormant, ie not lapsed under the 13 month dormancy rules.
If you read your T&Cs you'll see they just need to be "set up".
Where an account requires DDs to be paid each month, such as Halifax Reward and Club Lloyds, the T&Cs will expressly state this.0 -
As long as they appear under the Direct Debits tab in online banking you can consider them 'Active'0

No problem. The direct debits just have to show as active on the account. One of my two direct debits only pays out quarterly.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards.
