seller asking me to send payment to different email address

I recently won an item on ebay and I paid as soon as I received the invoice, however a day later the seller has asked me to cancel the transaction and resend the money to this other address as the one connected to her account does not exist, I log into paypal expecting it to say unclaimed with a cancel button but it says completed and there's no cancel button meaning somebody does own that account, is there any other way I can get this money back or have I lost it for good?

You still have full buyer protection it isn't your problem that seller had wrong email address.

Explain to the seller that the payment has completed and that the only way to get it back would be to open an INR case , either in PayPal or eBay.

Then once delivery time on your item has passed open an INR and seller can either refund you immediately, or if they don't believe you for any reason and try and fight it, the refund will be made automatically after 8 days when you escalate.

thanks, I explained the situation to the seller and now all of a sudden she said paypal have sorted it and my item is being posted out, think I may have scared her lol, but at least its sorted now
