Kindle E-Reader wi-fi password hacking

Recently de-registered my old kindle e-reader with view to selling.
Is it possible a buyer could find out my wi-fi password (should they be so inclined!) ?
I ask because I've recently read about people wi-fi hacking when within range but wondered if it only refers to hacking into someone's system or, if they bought my kindle, could they find out what password I had actually input into it?

Can it log in to your WiFi still? If so it has the password in it and there is probably a way to view it although why anybody would want to is beyond me as they could only connect to it if close enough.
http://www.wikihow.com/Reset-a-Kindle gives instructions on wiping it. If they don't work for your model then google is your friend0 -
Hi Mo,
If you use the "restore to factory settings" option within the device itself, that removes all personal data from the Kindle, including the WiFi password.
When the device is re-registered, you have to enter new WiFi information -- it won't remember it from the last time.
Hope that helps.Credit Card [STRIKE]£2,988.69[/STRIKE] £2,600.00 | Savings £0

Unless you plan on selling it to one of your neighbour's. Then chances of someone travelling to your home to use wifi is extremely remoteMansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0

Thanks for your replies.
Having sent said item already I was unable to reset nor check if still connected to my wi-fi. so contacted provider who informed there could be a slight chance security might be compromised so
wi-fi pass now changed.
Another lesson learned!!0 -
