My listing states UK only, but winner is outside uk!

Please can some help explain how to solve this problem effectively.
My listing states that I sell to UK only. I had the selling listing ticked to don't sell to Asia, US etc.
However, I seem to have opted into ships Globally?

The winning bid came from Korea, but they have a US address. They want me to send to a non UK registered address.
I've told them that firstly, I don't sell to non UK buyers and that also I am only over able to post to the paypal address.
I've sent them a cancellation request, but they are not responding.
Can I before they cancel give another customer a second change offer?
And if the don't cancel but ignore it. Will I end up paying fees.
Sorry if it all sounds rather complex.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Can you just clarify, have they paid?

If so assuming the PayPal address is in the UK and it says 'OK' to post then you are fine.

If they haven't paid go through the process of sending an invoice as that will show an address, if it is overseas there is now an option to request cancellation in basis of buyers address. If it is in the UK, send invoice and wait for payment.

The global shipping programme should give you a UK address though if it is working properly.

They have not paid. They have the winning bid but are now asking what the dimensions of the product are! (A bit late for that!) When I saw last night that the winning bid came from Korea - I immediately sent them a cancellation request as they are in an area I don't send to.
Not sure what to do next.

If you have already sent a cancellation request then that's it- it is too late to do anything else now at all. You need to wait 7 days for them to agree. What option did you choose to cancel?

If you close it yourself after day 7/8 without buyer responding you get your FVFs back, if buyer declines then you lose your fees.

I think I had the unpaid assistant turned on. Thank you for you help Soolin. When you say fees - do you all fees including the 10% ebay takes from the final price. If so that could be quite costly.
Is it worth me trying to speak to ebay customer services?

Because you have opened a cancellation request the upaid assistant will not kick in.
And unfortunately yes fees means all fees including the 10% final price.

Oooh. I wish the ebay system was simpler and more user friendly.
So basically I've just got to hope that the buyer agrees to cancel.
If not I take a fee hit and also possibly negative feedback.

Your buyer can agree and you will get your fees back, but if they decline you wont, but if they do nothing you yourself can close the case in i think 7 days and get your fees back that way.

A big thank you to everyone who's responded and helped. :) I think I understand the process now.

I wonder if they should be a sticky. "What to do if a buyer does not pay" etc. What to do if the buyer is out of the UK etc." It would take someone a while to write up but I'm sure it would help a great deal, to those who get confused, especially to newbies. (Just putting forward an idea.) I've been selling for a few years on ebay and it appears I still can get in a muddle.
A big thank you once again to those who helped.

Your OP made this sound like the item was sold and a cancellation sent within a matter of hours- I'm not sure where the 'buyer has not paid' comes into it unless I am misreading things (which frankly is possible).

Buyers don't always pay straight away, that doesn't mean that they are never going to pay, so any sticky' what do I do if buyer doesn't pay' would not be appropriate for that sort fo buyer anyway.

Never panic and jump the gun, if this was a global shipping purchase then buyer would have needed to provide a UK address at check out and it would be exactly as any other UK purchase. If buyer had paid late then you could have opened an NPB after 2 full days, closed it 4 full days later and reclaimed your fees- as well as blocking the buyer from leaving feedback.

I did react very quickly. Perhaps next time I should seek advice before I am so prompt. (Luckily, it seems to have worked out well)
Regarding a sticky. I was referring to ebay faq in general.
