New Oven Smell

Can anyone remember how long it took for their new oven to lose that electrical new oven smell?
We've had ours about 6 weeks now and it still smells when I put it on, I don't remember it ever taking this long to stop.
I use it pretty much every day, its gradually getting less pungent, but definitely still there.

I've just had a new oven (just over 3 weeks ago) and mine only really smelled for about a week and I don't use it everyday.
I was advised to switch it on high for an hour or so before first use, to burn off oils etc used in the manufacturing process. I don't know if that helped or not.
