Bad Experience at Michael Kors

I bought a handbag for my wife from the Michael Kors outlet at Cheshire Oaks. There was no price on the handbag in the shop and I was told it was £239. I purchased the bag and they got me a new one from the storeroom in the back. After getting home we unpacked the bag and found a price ticket for £179 attached. We took the bag back the next day and was told that it was a pricing error and that £239 was the correct price. Also the manager that we spoke to quickly removed the price tag from the bag and tore off the "incorrect" lower price. I explained that I thought that all this was quite unprofessional and she went to speak to her manager to see what they could do. The eventual answer was that they could do nothing. I don't know what our rights were but their customer service was definitely lacking. At the same time, I've had a package go missing from Amazon and they couldn't have been more helpful or accommodating - a lesson in excellent customer service.
