clock on screen keeps going wrong

Hi chums a daft question but anyone have any ideas why the clock at the bottom of my screen on the right hand side keeps going wrong Every time I log on I have to adjust it to the right time .Everything else seems to be working perfectly

    I wonder why this battery cannot be kept topped up when the PC is using mains power?

    I take it you mean Asus? the battery can be replaced with one from Poundland it will probably be a cr2032 but you can check

    It's probably not a rechargeable battery, due to the extra cost of providing the charging hardware inside the computer. Or if it is, it will still have a limited life span.

    Because the batteries used are not rechargeable.

    I gathered that it is not a rechargeable battery but the cost of having one can't be much as they are in my £12 MP3 player and I bet the computers life span would be less than the battery.

    Non sequitur ... the battery has already died computer still going strong... I got 8 from poundland
