Going from SSP to ESA

Its not so much telling them you're well though is it? Wife fully intends to keep getting sick notes throughout.
Its just employers of way of letting you use leave whilst on the sick to retain your full pay. Thats all. You are not saying your fit you're just using holidays.
But yes I would agree that, in effect, your back on full pay so it'd be wrong to get full pay PLUS ESA.
But then again, heres another thing. OK. Someone claims SSP for 6 months then ESA for 6 months and then gets terminated by employer. During this time they've built up 4 weeks of leave.
Employer is going to pay them for this aren't they so whats the difference?
Reason wife is not doing this is because employer will only allow carry over of statutory leave allowance not full allowance so id she doesnt take it she will lose a fair bit of it.0
