I have just got out of a five year relationship, he was my first bf and now I have no clue at all how to deal with men. I can't tell when men are flirting with me, if they like me etc and the thought of going out to meet people actually scares me. I feel like a complete loser!
I have very few friends which gets me down a bit and I don't want to be mistaking friendship for something more and making a fool of myself.
Any advice?

It's not one size fits all, it's just part of life, you sound young and as such have plenty of time to meet someone suitable.0 -
To be honest I'd presume its a friendship until its blatantly obvious that both of you want it to be something more !
Why not just learn to enjoy going out with friends before looking for another relationship ?
Friends are with you for a long time whilst relationships come & go !
