I am having problems with Card Protection claim with Nationwide. I have passed the case on to the Ombudsman and they wrote to me last week. Nationwide say they have no record of Protection policy. And gave me a date to send documents or statement relating to credit card account.
I am 100% sure i paid Card Protection because it was clearly written on credit card statement.
I wrote to Nationwide Aprill this year requesting copies of old credit card statements. I closed the credit card September 2011. Nationwide did not send information i requested and have given me the run around. I have experience with Nationwide denying insurance policies sold to me in the past.
Would Nationwide be able to change or falsify old statements and how can i make them send the information. I had their credit card for 8 years.

By card protection do you mean the CPP or Sentinel plans where they cancel your cards if you lose your purse/wallet? Or are you referring to PPI?
Did you make your request for statements via the official route, ie a subject access request and enclosing the requisite fee?
And finally, are you seriously suggesting an institution the size of Nationwide would go to the trouble of falsifying one customers statements? If you are, get real!0 -
Why do you not simply write to Nationwide and request a written copy of all the details held about you including statements. A fee of £10 is payable. Write to: The Subject Access Request Team, Customer Operations, Nationwide Building Society, Kings Park Road, Moulton Park, Northampton, NN3 6NW.
It may be helpful for you to know that a request for information under the Data Protection Act 1998 needs to be responded to within 40 days.0 -
Card protection ID theft and card fraud. I wrote to Nationwide at the address rehanmalik3030 also provided. Included the £10 fee and sent letter record delivery for proof of posting.0

Did you receive a copies of all your statements during the period you had an active card with Nationwide? A simple yes or no will suffice.0

I wrote to this department Aprill this year. I waited over 40 days then phoned them and was assured the statements were in the post. Never received them. Phoned again but they keep transfer then clear the phone call.
I assume the insurance was with Nationwide as it was on my statement.0 -
