Do you get more sales than eBay? And how do you find it for being user friendly?
I get less sales, Amazon is around 10% for me.
Reason is the fees are very high, some categories take 25% (not my category) so I need to be priced higher on Amazon. My major Ebay fee category is also 'capped' on Ebay so as I need to increase Amazon prices, this does obviously mean lower sales.
Nevertheless it's worth using, as Amazon buyers are definately higher calibre - you won't get as many 'item not received' claims' as you don't have Amazon practucically encouraging buyers to make claims as 'Tony' does on Ebay.
I would say use it and see how it goes.
Don't try to compete on price though, if you offer good service you don't need to be the cheapest as long as you are on the first page.0 -
That depends on your account - I can do daily disbursements. I can sell an item, mark as dispatched and withdraw 1 minute later, with the funds hitting my account 2 full working days later (used to be around 5 until recently)
My disbursements usually arrive on a Thursday having been released on a Sunday. I have heard of people getting earlier but have only had them appear later! Some banks do work quicker, not sure which, I only know NatWest are slower..0 -

On merchant/business accounts most of the fees on Ebay and Amazon are pretty much the same.
'Most' may or may not be true, but can be significant and is not to be dismissed.
In one category, I have an Ebay fee cap of 10 pounds max, whereas on Amazon the fee is 15% uncapped. So for a 1000 pound item, my Amazon fees are over 100 more than the Ebay fee. I run a sales spreadsheet, and very often I'm finding even for mid-price items (200 to 400) I'm paying 30 to 40 more in Amazon fees vs the Ebay fee.0 -

I've noticed the same, most of my Ebay customers all write in lower case and are have ludicrous names like 'tyler' (no capital letters naturally)
I just had a INR case in Paypal from an Ebay customer, her email address is satansdescendant@... :rotfl:
That's the 2nd one this week in Paypal, and cases in Ebay are stacking up as well! Is it the season?!0
