This may be a stupid question but if I transfer an outstanding balance to a 0% card/s is my old card cleared and cancelled, or just cleared?

Transferring a balance doesn't close the old card. Indeed, if the old card is carrying a revolving balance which is not on 0%, then you'll have a small amount of residual interest still to pay on the next statement...unless you take this into account and slightly overpay with the BT.0

and it may be a good idea to retain the card. perhaps it will be useful for spending? or even a new Balance Transfer deal?0
