Travelex cash passport

Off to South Africa shortly have my Clarity and my Nationwide Select for purchases, also my Nationwide Flex Plus for cash withdrawals
thinking of getting a travelex passport (as a back up to the Flex Plus) for cash withdrawals but notice its got a "non usage" fee...read that it can be cancelled to avoid this fee...any one got any experience of cancelling this type of card...i know sometimes cancelling can be difficult

Doesn't appear a useful card. Why bother? You already have two options for cash withdrawals.
  • one option really as the Flex Plus does not charge for crash withdrawals the other 2 do charge

The charges for withdrawing cash with Clarity are so minimal that it's not worth bothering to arrange an alternative, especially if you already have the Flex+

Possibly, it should tell you on your statement.

Last time I withdrew cash at an ATM with my Clarity and paid it off via online banking when we got home it cost me about 50p

If you are able to log into your account while you're there to pay off the cash withdrawals immediately, the charges for the Clarity card will be close to zero.
