Read a post on another forum. The person had been turned down for dla for her son and was ranting about fat people in wheelchairs getting it and druggies and alchies getting a free bmw. Makes me cross how many druggies would have the £2000 deposit for a bmw. there not just given to you you have to pay. The fat comment upset me i'm fat in a wheelchair due to steroids and not being able to exercise. These comment sreally get to me.

There are some nasty mean people around - but always think of the people are sensible and kind folk - don't let the mean people ruin your day.
You are the one who suffers from the upset they cause so best to just dismiss any these rude people say

They just presume you get dla for being fat. When its so far from the truth. Most of the people i know are fat from steroids.

For the same reason everyone says that the reason people are fat is because of medication, it's a personal viewpoint. You are being very naive of you assume obesity is always down to medication and therefore the chances are that the forum poster concerned knows people who fit into the criteria of self infliction.

The simple answer is to ignore those people. Those that use a wheel chair use it for a reason and it's got nothing to do with other people why they use it.
