Oh Gers, what a time you had of it yesterday. Glad the throw came out fine.
Thanks Jackie for the advice on card making, I think this will be fun and a perfect way to while away the hours. Also, it will be nice to be able to match a card more closely to the recipient. I will have a look at a starter kit and ask for it as a christmas gift.
Judi, I forgot to mention earlier, but the photo of the little baby was delightful. How old will soldier be on his birthday?
I was thinking of buying a cape for mum to wear as i think it will be easier for her and dad to get on her than a cardigan.
Have a lovely afternoon all.

Afternoon all,
Went out for dinner last night which saved cookingTonight is sausages.
I put the washing on the line but decided it was just hanging there so I got it in and hey presto the sun came out!!
I've just sat and watched the last two episodes of The Passing Bells. A brilliant series and very moving. When I watch anything like that it makes me realise a) how lucky we are and b) reinforces what an utter waste of everything war is...
Have a good Sunday x0 -
I am so  on Docky's behalf! Poor little man; I hope he's over his shakes by now. Gers is right - the EU stick their oar in all over the place where it's not needed, it'd be good if they put in some stringent regulations re fireworks. Honestly, it sounded like world war 3 outside here last night. I hope there's no more next weekend; although Jessie's pretty bomb-proof, the racket last night would test even her resolve.
Good to know Little Dog is still making progress; hopefully her lump will go down with changing her injection site.
I'm afraid I've done nowt today; we'd planned to visit Mr T's but I'm not well enough to go out at all today.:( Bl00dy lupus.:mad:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
PS again - came across this fascinating BBC site http://genome.ch.bbc.co.uk/ which shows all the TV/radio listings from 1923 to 2009. My birthday had a considerably dull day of broadcasts.0

Hello everyone! Had a much-needed lay-in this morning, so that was nice. Made mince pies with DS13, then caught up on the ironing. Now about to start cooking roast pork. DS13 is learning how to chop logs and DH is washing the cars. DS16 has been out for a walk with his girlfriend, he is not very pleased that his brother is chopping logs as he sees it as his job, but he has had lots of opportunities to do it and hasn't....0

Docky is fine now, thank you so much for being kind and caring about him. He was asleep in his chair this morning when I woke up and calmed down, he even went for his morning walkies without his usual dilly dallying in case there's a cat under the car. It's that primal fear he gets in the instant that the noise happens and he just knows he wants to get away from it, poor old laddy. REDRUBY I'm so pleased that little dog is doing so well, and what a relief that the lump is only a reaction to the injections, bad enough, but it will go. Hope she continues to hold her own and enjoy her life with you and yours. LAMEWOLF sorry that you are suffering today, not much fun and Docky says vat er bikkit ore tew mite maksiz yew feew betta, ore evin er chewi styck? wud yew lykse won? koz heew sendz yew wun iffen yew wood!!! wiv luv frum yer frend Docky anna likkkkkkk!0

Soldier will be 3. He was the girls first foster child and he was 6 months old when he came into their care. He knows me as Nanny Dudi bless him.I was thinking of buying a cape for mum to wear as i think it will be easier for her and dad to get on her than a cardigan.
Hubby has sorted new contracts on our mobile phones. He has lost loads of minutes as well as unlimited tethering. Youngest has lost unlimited data but ive done pretty well out of it. I don't know how that came about. Ive kept all of what I had already but have thousands of three to three minutes... now who can I pester on the 3 network?:D

Hello, this is my first post, though been reading the threads for a while to get inspiration. Didn't know where to start so thought I would post on this one. Today I made some homemade pomanders with cloves, oranges and ribbon so feeling quite proud of that:). Getting married next year and we want to start a family plus we are spending all our money atm on our house (victorian) which we are slowly doing up. No boiler or kitchen currently so using a bit more electricity than I would like hence the need to start to be a bit more thrifty! Never posted on a forum before so hope this is ok.0
