Making an advent calender

Hello
I am hoping to make the kids an advent calender this year; the fabric type with little pockets. Has anyone else done this? Any pics to share for ideas?

The instructions were a little confusing (Im a bit of a novice) but I found several online tutorials for similar calendars and it was really quick and easy to do.

Not quite the same thing but I made tiny little stockings out of a cheap red fleece blanket from Ikea (fleece won't fray and it's a bit stretchy), then used those little pegs you get for card-making and hung them on a ribbon above the fire. It worked really well.

Three years ago I bought ready made, decorative fleece bags on a string and filled them with goodies. It was nice, but in the following year the bags started to disintegrate and last year some fleece bags fell apart.

I now got some advent calendars printed with photos from our skiing holidays. They are relatively expensive, but look great and contain branded Continental chocolates.
