B&Q Paint Mixer - sealing the paint?

Does anyone know where I would stand on some sort of compensation from B&Q regarding paint they mixed in store.
Spoke to the store and they said it's not company policy to deal with issues once the paint has left the store
Lets just say that I'm 100% convinced one of the tins I got from them wasn't sealed properly, which has resulted in a lot of damage to my car..

You mean the tin leaked onto your car immediately after you bought it?0

No, was just pulling up to some lights and the paint tins rocked forwards. One of the fell over completely - lid stayed on. The other rocked into the side of the footwell, lid came off and went everywhere.Cashback

Sounds very 50/50. The lid may not have been secured or if the paint tins fell over when braking then it sounds like they weren't secured (restrained) properly. The man without a signature.0

I can't see how it could be their fault, even if there were no lid on the paint at all it wouldn't have damaged the car if it had been better stored for transportation.0

Paint nearly always says keep can upright and secure.0

In my experience, paint mixed in store has extra security clips added to the tin post mixing. If you braked harshly and the paint fell forwards then you were lucky only one tin opened.
It's your own responsibility to transport the paint safely and securely.
You can make a formal complaint to the retailer, but I think you already have your answer. Any "compo" offered would be a goodwill gesture rather than any legal right.0 -

sorry but i think this one is down to you as you did not secure the paint in the car and when you braked the paint spilled
I would never carry paint inside my car and when i put it in the boot i always put it in a plastic storage box and any empty space packed with a dust sheet0
