merry hill shopping center ukpc

Whilst working at merry hill I received a parking charge for not being in a designated bay, I had to park on the grass as the car park was full (2 trips round trying to find a space) left a note etc.

Other cars were parked half on half off the grass, also outside of any bays on the side of the roads.none with tickets.

My problem is it was a hire car, what would be my best route for telling them to go away polity?

I don't think you can tell them to go away, however you can deal with the notice as followed by advice on previous posts, although personally I don't think you have much of a defense, when I have had to work over that way, there are parking spaces for allocated for official visitors.

If this was a private parking charge notice you need to read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky at the top of the forum index (one page back) and have a look at how to approach your appeal in the context of this being a hire car.

You need to head the PPC off before they contact the hire company who are likely to stump up the charge and add their own admin charge, both appearing on your credit card statement in the near future.

The PPC can't contact the hire company until after day 28 following your parking event, so you've got a bit of time to read and understand what you need to do - but don't leave taking action too near that day 28, or it could get more complicated for you.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Send the challenge in the Newbies thread of course. You must have read it before posting, we assume.
