Ovo, eon or stay with SP?

Hi, I switched through MSE yesterday, I'm now worrying whether I did so too hastily.
My current deal with SP ends at the end of '15 so I am worried about sitting the deal out if prices rise over the Winter.
I opted for the eon deal which offered savings of £250 pa which I know would have presumed I was on a standard rate following my fix.
I'm not sure if I should have switched to one of the Ovo fixed deals (March'16) or the SP '15 deals. I have exit fees but the cash back on eon would almost cover these.
Can you port your product on eon or Ovo like you can with SP does anyone know?
Any advice gratefully received.

You can certainly change tariffs with EON; Not sure of the current position with OVO - when I joined them back in early May ,they, almost immediately, launched a slightly cheaper fixed tariff than I was on -when I phoned up asking if I could be switched over, I was told "not possible"-as were a number of others on the forum.:(

    Thanks for the reply.
I think I may be better sticking with SP and going onto their December '15 tariff, there are no exit fees with the product. I can then shop around again next year.

I intend to ride the Scottish Power exit penalty free tariffs until January 2015. I expect the slide will have bottomed, and we might even see £899 for medium usage again ("average" has changed a bit, according to Ofgem, of course).

At that point, a short fix should last till around March 2016. Pick a good one and I will be set for two winters.
  • Eons latest V12 is top of the table in my area, ( S.Yorks ) with a much better cust service than SP plus a £30 cashback from MSE Cheap Energy Club. Only a £5 exit fee
