Actions after contacting the shop

Hello everyone.
We have received a charge notice from Total Parking Solutions for overstaying in a shop's parking. After reading this forum we decided to contact the shop's manager as we have 'violated' terms and conditions while spending money in his shop. He advised that we shouldn't contact the PPC (as they will not be able to cancel this notice then) and promised, that he will contact the PPC and ask to void the notice. He left a voice mail a day after, saying that he have emailed to the PPC.
We phoned to the shop a week later, as we did not receive any cancellation letter from the PPC, and the shop manager said, that they are not receiving cancellation confirmations, but rather a monthly report with cancelled (or not) notices.
So, therefore we are a bit unsure what to do. The shop manager said, that everything is settled now and if we would receive another email from the PPC, we should contact him again. However, a written confirmation rather than verbal would put as at ease. Should we contact the PPC and inquire about the current status of the notice ref no ***********? Or should we send a notice rejection email (even if we have contacted the shop?) to the PPC?
Many thanks :T

You have a voice mail, that's your get out card and the shopkeeper. Sit back and wait to see if anything happens0

You could just test the system for paying the parking charge by going part-way through their website payment process to see if your PCN is still 'live' or shown as cancelled.

Seriously I would send a letter or email to TPS saying that the shop has cancelled it and so you expect to get confirmation that the PCN is cancelled. If this is not the case then you require a POPLA code because clearly the landowner does not authorise this charge and it is not a genuine pre-estimate of loss.
I would not wait.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
