indefinite period

Hi all what does indefinite period for DLA mean? Ive heard that people on this still can be called up for reassessment. And is it possible to get PIP indefinite period.

    It just means that there is no specific date for reassessment and you can be assessed again at any time. Everyone on DLA will be assessed for PIP at some point.

    Indefinite means until such a time they choose to reassess, However in reality it generally means not for the foreseeable future. However of course with DLA being phased out at some point those of us with indefinite awards shall have to get transferred to PIP anyway.

    Will there be indefinite period for pip? With the transferal to pip does it make any difference / easier is you have DLA indefinite period. The indefinite period must mean something.

    Having an indefinite award for DLA means nothing for PIP because there are no indefinite awards. You will eventually be invited to apply for PIP just like everyone else. You will then in turn have your face to face assessment.
