Counterfeit Item Chargeback?

Hi,
My girlfriend purchased a gift for me from a "Paul Smith Outlet". Alarm bells rang when the bank statement (paid with a visa debit card) showed a Chinese name.
The invoice shows £63.97 but the website showed that the product only cost £59.99 so that was also an issue.
We have tried to contact the website but they have no email address or phone number.
The item hasn't arrived yet but it is 100% fake.
We contacted the bank and they said we have to wait 15 days and try to resolve with the seller first.
What is the best course of action if we can't contact the website?
And what are the chances of a refund?
Thanks,
Rob

It doesn't matter what the price was.Hi,

What matters is what amount you authorised to be paid.
They are right. We have tried to contact the website but they have no email address or phone number.

If you mean ps-outlet.com then they have "contact us" webform. What is the best course of action if we can't contact the website?
Also you can find a e-mail address in their Returns & Exchange section.
You have to be very persuasive if you can't prove to the bank that you returned the item. And what are the chances of a refund?

If you paid using a Visa card, you don't need to return the item to the seller. You will need to provide proof that the item is counterfeit. 15 days doesn't come into it, a chargeback claim can be raised as soon as you have proof that the item you receiveis counterfeit.0

It needs to identified by either:- The owner of the intellectual property (or its authorised representative).
- A customs agency, law enforcement agency or other government agency.
- A neutral bona fide expert.

As OP paid by debit card there is no cover here for consequential losses (covered byS75 CCA had transaction been over £100) .
Bank at best will only refund amount charged on statement.0 -

If the OP is lucky enough to have the goods seized by UK Border Force, they will send a letter explaining the reason for the seizure. This letter will say that the goods have been detained on suspicion of being counterfeit and it will be sufficient for a chargeback claim.
I've not dealt with a claim for counterfeit Paul Smith merchandise, so I can't say how cooperative the intellectual rights holder would be in providing the required evidence, but a friendly store manager at an authorised stockist might provide the required verification that the received goods are fake.0 -
Ok.
I have received the product today and it is the worst fake I have ever seen.
"Made In London US"
The colour is literally rubbing off.
What would you suggest my next course of action be?0 -
There are at least two Londons in the US.0

Yes there are.
But Paul Smith is London (UK).0
