Scottish Power are thieving B*******

Agree with most of what original poster said-I've had very similar experience but I have documented and confirmed all agreements and discussion with scottish power. They are completely inept -it would take to long to go through all problems I have had with them. IMO they have a policy that once they know you are leaving they will try to extract maximum amount of money from you(i.e by changing type of account so gas already paid for is charged at a higher rate -for a full year).
Final straw that last invoice which should be final for account is an estimate-correct reading for gas but wrong one for electric in SP's favour. How on earth is this possible -but causes further frustration but they maybe hoping that they can delay refund that is due to me. E-mailed requesting they correct and refund correct amount within 3weeks timescale from final invoice date. E-mail acknowledged, refund due by 17th November so wait and see. Already got a deadlock letter so can make representation to Ombudsman just waiting for final outcome.
Dealing with them is very stressful and I believe that the extremely poor service that they offer will be causing many customers anxieties that are unwarranted and not of the customers making.0
