Just a warning really as I'm far too happy here in Cyprus to get cross about £15/month, but when you sign a management contract with your letting agent in the UK, make sure they haven't made any changes to the original contract that you carefully examined (or the landlord info pack or individual correspondence for that matter) - like adding the words "+VAT" to the monthly service charge.

Ah well -off to pick some fresh lemons from the garden, for a brandy sour on the patio. Chin Chin!:beer:

Ooh sarcasm! Nice! Point being was that the 8% was originally VAT inclusive as verbally agreed, and that the original contract was altered without our knowledge. Hey - should have double checked the signing copy, but Chin Chin :beer:

Credit where credit's due. Having emailed the agent outlining the discrepancy, they have reduced the fee to 7% +VAT. A satisfactory compromise, given that I didn't have a legal leg to stand on. Think I'll have a keo.:beer:
