Credit card disappeared from experian???

Hi all, just logged into experian to see my score has shot up a lot, then realised it's because they've removed my only credit card (capital one Classic)! So now it's not reporting that I'm using any credit at all. I'm a bit worried now! Why would they do that! And if it goes back on again will it Count as a new account and all my ticks will be gone :( help xx thanks

If it's up to date, or not in default, then it is most likely an error/glitch somewhere.

Query with Experian 1st of all.

If it's just come off in error, then when restored it must show the history etc it previously did. i.e. wouldn't be a new account.

Ok thanks, obviously I'm happy that the score went up but then realised this made me have zero avaliable credit. Account is all up to date and paid in full every month, I checked Equifax and it still shows. Just a bit worried as I'm desperately trying to get myself mortgage worthy in the next couple of years!

    Thanks for your help

On my credit report it shows my Cahoot credit card closed 4 years ago. However I use on a regular basis.

I spoke to Cahoot who confirmed the account is closed and cannot do anything. To me this is stupid.

Good. It's usually something like that. Also good it's sorted, as inconsistencies can be harmful in applications.

Great to hear it has been resolved and the panic is over, if you wanted me to take a look through your credit report to make sure nothing further is missed off since the move then email me your details (name/dob/full address including postal code), I will gladly be able to look into this for you and best of luck when applying for your mortgage.

That's right Fermi, you answered this quicker than what I did. If you ever notice anything incorrect on your credit report please contact us.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
