TSB - being unreasonable or not

  • It was an honest mistake, I had funds in linked savings account that I would normally transfer across, yet forgot on this occasion
    Unfortunately, they don't have a crystal ball, also the computer system just sees the transactions and applies the charge, it's nothing personal. Anyhow they've given you it back . . .

    Since TSB pay 5% interest on their current account up to £2k, it surely is a mistake not to take maximum advantage of this by having your money languishing in a linked TSB savings account which only pays what? 0.2% - 2%?

    They are totally in the wrong, that's why they refunded you.
  • AFAIK save the change will only take place if the account stays in credit.
    So that particular transaction and the D/D did not happen the same day and is a red herring.


    OP what was the D/D for? Take care that the recipient do not charge you for non payment which could affect future credit applications.
