Hi All,
I'm traveling from Aus to London and flying in to Paris. I was thinking about getting the Eurostar from Paris to London. Any idea how I can get a cheaper ticket?
Cheers.

Not many tricks for Eurostar that I'm aware of (others may know more). The usual things of book early, avoid weekends if possible. Not sure what your budget is, but seats are available from £40 one way if your dates and times are flexible. Going below that might be difficult, any lower fares they have are usually only for packages, though might be something if you're over 60 or under 25 (or if you work in travel). Be aware that Eurostar.com charges a cc fee, so use a debit card if you have one.
If those prices not available and you're not planning to stay in Paris, check out a cheap connecting flight, they can also be had for around £40 one way if you shop around.0 -
Eurostar tickets are at their cheapest when they are first releases, 3 months to the day before date of travel, from then on they just go up, so really the best option is to plan ahead.
As far as I know there is no cheap outlet for Eurostar tickets, they pretty much have it sewn up.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
Tesco Clubcard vouchers is the best I can think of.0

Sadly i don't think so. Certainly senior railcards can not be used for Eurostar tickets.
There are actually small discounts (though no doubt you are correct that railcards don't apply). There are separate search fields on Eurostar.com to add youth and senior passengers, and it seems there is a reason for them. Below is the result of a quick search I just did, not exactly a massive saving and maybe not applied on every fare, but might buy a cup of tea...

Good shout but unfortunately we don't earn many of those in Australia.
Thank you anyway.0 -
If budget is an issue then you can take the coach. It's what I do but then I'm a bigger cheapskate than most so it may not be any good for you!
It's quite easy to get the coach for about £20 and during special offers it can be half that (with Megabus, iDbus or Eurolines). The major downside being it takes 8hrs vs 2hrs by train. If you can get one of the £40 Eurostar tickets then that will be a better option.0
