Electoral roll

Hello,

I applied for a barclays current account and was declined and i think it was because i am not on the electoral roll at my address, I got myself registered and called into the town hall and they said i will go on the electoral roll on the 1st of December.
Will i be able to get a barclays current account a few days after the 1st of December? Does it get updated automatically on the credit reference agency that im on the electoral roll?

I've never had any credit products or bank accounts so i don't think i will be able to check because all the websites ask for a card to sign up?

It's not that quick!

The councils (each one is different) release the revised electoral register to the CRAs. It may take 3 months or so to update.

The ER is not the only arbiter - many banks will not care if you can provide other proofs showing your address, so even if you are listed you may still not get an account opened.

So what can i do to get a account opened lol?

I've got a uk passport and full driving licence can't i open a account with that after i go on electroll roll?
