Halifax Reward A/c : Switching and multiple accounts

Hi,

I have a couple of queries about multiple .Halifax Reward accounts. I have a Nationwide Flex Direct account that is more than 12 months old, which means I no longer get the enhanced interest rate. I already have one Halifax Reward account, which gives me £5 a month.

I was planning to use the Halifax Switching service to close the Nationwide account, as that would give an additional £100.

So, since I already have an existing Halifax Reward account :

1. Can I apply for another Halifax Reward account?
2. If not, can I switch my Nationwide account to my existing Halifax Reward account and still get the switching bonus?

I can't see anywhere that you cannot have more than one reward account but obviously you need to fulfil the criteria - ie pay in at least £750 per month and 2 direct debits to each account. To get the switching bonus it depends on whether you have switched before as it says you are not eligible if you have already received a switching bonus after January 2012 so depends when you opened your existing Halifax reward account and whether you got a switching bonus then.

T&Cs state max of 1 in sole name and 1 in joint names.
