SatNavs about £100 - £120

I am looking for a satnav to replace my ancient Garmin. I need UK and Europe (mainly France and adjacent) with free updates for life. Nothing complicated like a phone connection required.

I have seen the Garmin-2545LMT-Western-Lifetime-Updates for about £110on Amazon.

I am not familiar with the other makes that are around, do they offer anything better for about the same price and which is most user friendly, please?

I have that model of Garmin(or same region/range)
No issues with it. I also replaced an old Garmin. Big improvement

Argos £90 Garmin nuvi 52 LM (lifetime maps) + accessory pack included (in car + wall plug charger case + usb cable + windscreen mount). Fantastic piece of kit with 5inch screen

Only minor grip was map update took 3.5hrs using wired connection to bband but otherwise great deal for under £100

They all do the same job, it's down to personal preference. Generally, people prefer to stick with those they are familiar with. I've always had Tomtoms so prefer them. If you are used to Garmin you will probably prefer Garmins as they feel familiar.

That could be because you downloaded the maps for the whole of Europe. Avoid this if all you want to install is "UK and Ireland".
