How long would you wait for payment of items?

I'm new to Ebay and a buyer has won 3 items from me and not paid for them. How long should I give them to pay? It's about £150 now and they are still bidding on more items. Should I block them and if I do can they leave me bad feedback?

If they are bidding on more of your items, they will likely be assuming they will be able to combine postage.
A friendly message asking if they could drop you a line when they're done so you can send a combined invoice might put your mind at rest.
If they're bidding on other items, if I were a buyer, I would find it odd to be pestered for items I've won when I was bidding on other items of yours.
You have plenty of time to open a NPB case and get your fees refunded in the unlikely event they don't pay.0 -
As campdave says, it's best to drop them a message to organised combined postage.
How long has it been since they bought the first items?
And just to flip to a paranoid angle, are they possibly a competitor trying to secure your items?0 -
How long are we talking ?
Do you offer combined postage ?
What are the items ? Are they high risk phones etc ?
I sell plus size clothing and offer combined - so people tend to bid over a couple of days then get an invoice at the end. But that's relatively low value items ( £10 or so )
I have to say your buyer would make me nervous!
Send a nice little message noting the wins and the current bidding and ask if they plan to pay all at once ?
Check their feedback - received and given very carefully - how long they been a member ?
If you don't get a response within say 24 hours - I'd open a non paid case and also block the buyerStuck on the carousel in Disneyland's Fantasyland

Thanks for your replies. It isn't anything to do with combined postage. The bids were totally separate and on different days. I only realised when I was writing the postage label. The items are clothing and were packed separately.
I sent a polite message asking when they would be paying for the items (1&2) and they replied saying 'Tuesday' but I didn't receive payment. In the meantime they bid on a 3rd item. I've heard nothing at all from the buyer.
Trouble is, I might not sell at all, or get such a good bid, if I have to re-list the items. People might think there is something wrong with the items.
It was at the weekend so only a few days, but when should I start to do something about it?
I am trying to read all the Ebay guides & help but there is so much of it!0 -
If I do this, will they know? Because they would be less likely to pay.I'd open a non paid case and also block the buyer
I'm a little disappointed, I just thought I'd have a clear out of stuff we haven't worn. All the other buyers paid immediately.0 -

Yes they would - and thinking about it more they might then pay for what they have and then give bad feedback. I do find that people either pay for my stuff within 24 hours or they never do ( unless they message me first and let me know )
I've only had a couple of people pay after I started the non payment case. If you start the case they either pay or you close it after 8 days and u get your fees returned.
If they said they will pay Tues gone and still haven't ? Not looking good.Stuck on the carousel in Disneyland's Fantasyland

How new are you to ebay?. A friend who was new to ebay listed a trailer worth £1800. I cannot remember the details but he had some very dubious and unlikely buying offers. How much feedback does this buyer have?. Personally I would block them and avoid sending anything. If you only have a minimum amount of feedback you have little to loose. If this suspicious buyer does rubbish you you can leave and start again.
As a new seller I would learn about ebay with cheap items. Its cheaper if things go wrong!.0 -
I'm new to selling. I have good feedback as a buyer so wouldn't want to start again, only been doing it a couple of months altogether. I was trying to build up good feedback I've read so much bad stuff about Ebay I dreaded selling stuff but needed money.0
