NTK over 56 days?

Hi all,

The driver of my car received a PCN attached to the windscreen on the 28/08/14, this was from F1rst Parking @ Plymouth Uni. After reading through this forum, I decided to wait for F1rst Parking to send me a NTK.

Today I received the NTK, however I believe it is over the 56 days allowed under POFA 2012. It is dated 31/10/14, which is 64 days after the PCN was given.

Can anybody help advise me of my next step?

Thanks in advance.

The forum wont allow me to upload a pic of the PCN and NTK.

Read the Newbies thread and send the usual appeal. Add that the NtK was out of time so the registered keeper cannot be held liable.

  • First parking are also known to issue tickets on public roads - as happened to me in Winchester.

Check the location, and if need be complain to Devon and Cornwall Constabulary,

Remember that they have now lost their right to pursue the keeper for the 'charge' - remind them of this and tell them to pursue the driver (if they know who it was).

But still send an appeal to PoPLA. PPCs cannot be relied upon to play by the rules so it is imperative that PCNs are appealed properly, if only to cost them money.
