Does any one know where to buy clock movements? The sort that you put an AA battery in?
i have tried ebay but they mostly come from China - am reluctant to buy from there

Try googling see if that works. Have to say that I always restrict my buys to Europe and UK when I buy from e-bay.....0

I have purchased these before. The delivery costs are quite high but if you combine with more items it does not work out that bad

A bit late, but it may help - now or for future reference....
I don't buy clock mechanisms ... I buy cheap clocks and remove the movements and use those.
You can pick up cheap clocks for next to nothing and for less than you'd pay for postage of a clock movement (even if it's in this country!).Remember: however thin you slice something, there are always two sides to everything.0 -
