tummy tucks

Yes if you have had 3 caesareans you can have a tummy tuck on the NHS and I think they do try and remove a bit of excess skin when they are sewing you back up anyway. Unfortunately I became very poorly during the caesarean so I suppose stabilising me was more of a priority than making a nice tidy job of it.
I am prepared to pay for it privately but I only want to have it done if I know the surgeon is the best at tummy tucks. Some are better than others at rhinoplasty or breast enhancement so I assume there must be one who is very good at tummy tucks.
I have recently packed up smoking (4weeks today!!) so the money I save from packing up after 1 year will pay for at least half. My boyfriend is very supportive and understands fully why I want a tummy tuck.
Does anyone know how I can find out which surgeon is one of the best at tummy tucks??0 -
a friend of mine has just had hers done (she had two caesarians). I have to say that the 'apron' she had was awful and I'm really pleased for her.
I guess it's one of those things that depends on where you live as to whether your pct will pay for it. As for whether they should or shouldn't pay, well I know of several women who've had breast enlargements on the nhs as they've claimed it affects them psychologically, yet I have another friend who has been plagued with back troubles because of the size of her breasts and yet can't get a reduction.
I'd rather pay for reduction than enlargement and Alzheimer treatment than gastric bypass surgery in children but sadly my choice on where our hard earned cash goes doesn't count for toffee. Life's unfair I'm afraid!0 -
Hi all
Just thought I would let you know that I am having my tummy tuck consultation tomorrow at Harley Street with a surgeon called Alex karidis he is very well known, and worked with the famous and he is often on tv and in magazines.
I am so excited I have been wanting this for years and now the timing happens to be just right.
My appointment is at 12 and I am setting off at 7am as its going to take forever to find it.
I shall let you know how it goes.

Oh my god, thats awful, I really feel for you. Maybe because of the way it makes you feel they might let you have it through the NHS. But if not it costs £8100 and that includes some lipo on my hips. The plastic surgeon is called Alex Karidis www.niptuck.co.uk
Let me know what you decide x
