    Why, do you want one?

    And if you do,

    Why do you want one?
I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.

Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.

I am hoping to get a TT done on the NHS next year. I am being referred by one of my consultants, but this is due to extreme weightloss and the loose skin causing medical problems.

My friend had one eventually last year after trying to persuade every doctor going to do it on the NHS - they all point blankly refused. She went privately and it cost a little over £5k. After 3 c-sections, the skin on her stomach used to hang below her privates. She is a size 10, but would have to wear a size 16 trousers to fit it all in. She has a scar from one side of her waist to the other - which sits slightly above her bikini line and cleverly looks like a natural crease when she is sat down. She had a new belly button created as they removed a huge oval shaped part of her stomach.

As part of the tt op, she also some lipo on her thighs and buttocks to give her an even appearance.

It has completely transformed her life, and she now has so much confidence.

frizz_head how long did it take for it to heal? And how long before she was able to get back to normal i.e driving, housework etc?

She couldn't drive for 3 weeks afterwards and she was fine. She said, compared to the c-sections, the recovery was a breeze.

Of course, depending on how far you can push it, I would say sofa rest for at least 6 months.

Not sure where you are located, but she had her's done at the Reading Capio Hospital - after getting a referral from her GP.

I had a hernia operation a while ago and the lady in the bed next to me had a tt on NHS. Her doctor said she'd saved the NHS loads by losing so much weight; I can't remember exactly how much but 10stone-ish. The cost of the operation was a drop in the ocean compared to how much should could cost as an obese person.

Wrinkly skin is the downside of weight-loss but it's a small price to pay for better general health.
