DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS WEBSITE!
A friend of mine has just lost £1600 "purchasing" a TV that never appeared.
He stupidly used a bank transfer and it's ok in hindsight to say he's a ****!!!
Incidentally though, he spoke to someone on the phone when he ordered and after realising what has happened, he phoned the other shop (trongate) and on speaking to the guy in the shop he said he sounded remarkably like the guy he spoke to in the first instance.
The matter is now with the police.0 -
Hi,
I also have been scammed and lost nearly £700. I made the payment without thinking as I was moving and in the rush. I started to have doubts after and when I went online , I found this thread but sadly too late.
It is really a scam, other people are commenting online on his facebook page and yell website as well.
All the people who have been scammed please contact action crime fraud and get a crime reference number, we can then make a group and ask them to link our references as the offender is the same person. Maybe it will make them act quicker.
To the others, one advice never pay by bank transfer NEVER EVER.0 -

That's right. Covers the precise problem this thread's been discussing. At least the bloke in their article got his money back via his bank. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

The scam was on BBC TV this morning. Everyone was right to be suspicious, but still hundreds of people lost their money.0
