Friday clean done, off to make the bed and sew.0 -
Afternoon all; wet and windy in Concrete Cow Country today, so the washing is on A-frames over the bath again.
nmlc I'm pleased to learn your plaster is off; baby steps though, your leg needs to gradually regain strength, so don't try to do too much too soon.;)
Redruby great news that Little Dog is doing ok on her drugs; hopefully they'll sort her out, and she'll be fine when she comes off them.busiscoming2 wrote: »Dumpling - To me that is more than just bullying - it's downright dangerous!! I wonder if a word to the local pc about the situation is a good idea? It's a criminal act surely?
My left hand seems a lot better than it has been, so hopefully the cortisone is the way to go - I must take my own advice though, and not try and do too much to start with - if I do, it reminds me in no uncertain terms that it ain't completely better! Not having the awful burning sensation even when I'm not doing anything is wonderful, though - I never thought I'd ever look forward to a needle, but I can't wait for the right hand to be done, now.:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Absolutely chucking it down here. Need to pop down the post office this afternoon but I'm waiting for a break in the rain. Ive been waiting all morning so looks like getting wet.:( I'm a bit like my girls, I have to be forcefully ejected in the rain.:D
Dumpling, so mad to think of what your poor daughter is going through. I was pushed about a fair bit in junior school as child... Strangely enough it was by the boys who wanted to assert their authority over me... They picked on a girl cause they didn't stand a chance of winning if they picked on a boy. Thankfully it was only verbally though and by the time I'd got to the 'middle' school I'd learned how to keep under the radar.
Now my husband was bullied as a child and by the time he got to boarding school, he actually turned into a bully. He tries it on with me at times and has to be in control. Strange how it turned out in our case.
I do hope the school gets to the bottom of it, if it doesn't you need to go and take it up with the board of governors.
No bullying in my childrens schooling thankfully, however, a fair bit of peer pressure. My daughters didn't have such a problem with it but my 3 sons struggled with it (especially my number 2 son).
RR hope little dog is recovering nicely. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Hi everyone! New poster but long-term lurker!
I am having a cooking day while the Xmas Pud steams away. Real mix of sunshine and showers here. Must get DH to reattach oven door as there is a widening gap at the top so heat is being lost, it's a large range-type electric oven so expensive to run as it is. Keeps the kitchen warm though!0 -
You are very welcome PODDLY (love the name) we love new friends to talk to.

Welcome to Poddly too...
Tried to get into town - main, and only road closed due to flooding - it's next to the canal. sea and a river and the high tide just pushed it all over the edge. High tide was at 1.00p.m. so it should all seep away soon.
So, forced to stay back in the house :j - visited the chickens, talked to the calves, watched the sheep grazing away and did some online Scrabble. Sometimes life is just too demanding! There will be a price to pay tomorrow but today I am enjoying it all.0 -
Gers it has rained non stop here since last night. We don't get the flooding obviously living in the city, but it is extremely cold.
Enjoy your enforced relaxing day and stay warm.

Popped back for a catch up.
Hello Poddly
Bit strange and off the wall but last night I was thinking about one of the teddies me and my brothers had. He was orange and more like a bean than a duck but his name was 'Oddle Poddle Doddle Duck'. Yep, I'm mad!! :rotfl:0
