Natwest Success....almost!

Amount Claimed:£3250
Offered And Accepted: £2993

Natwest Told Me In 2005 That They Closed My Account Due To Large Overdraft Accrued From Charges ( Sometimes £200 A Week ). All This Time I Haven't Used My Account And I Found That It Is Not Closed It Is "non Operational" So They Have Transferred This Amount To My "non Operational" Account, Cleared The £1570 Overdraft And Told Me I Have To Wait 6 Weeks For Them To Write The Cheque For The Remainder As I Am Not Allowed To Collect It In The Branch As The Lending Centre Have To Control This.

I Explained To The Rude Girl Over The Phone Today That It Is Surely Against The Law To Withhold Money Which Is Rightfully Mine. She Refused To Let Me Speak To A Manager Or Give Me Her Name, Told Me I Should Have Managed My Money Better ( 0n 9k A Year At The Time ) And Put The Phone Down. I Have Complained To The Ombudsman But That Will Take 8 Weeks So I Have To Sit And Wait It Looks Like. I'll Keep You Updated But Thanks Loads To Martin And The Money Saving Experts For All Your Help Through This Sarah

Hi,how on earth did she expect you to manage your money better when they were taking such extortionate amounts from you, sometimes they are beyond belief, maybe they should be retrained in customer service and learn how to speak to people properly instead of treating them like dirt. However it does sound as if you are going to get your cash back, and as a general rule they have been paying out between 7-8 weeks.Goodluck
