Want to make a £1500 purchase on a £1200 limit card, how?

    Ah, you haven't received your card yet. Have you actually been told that your credit limit will be £1200? Providers often (always?) use £1200 as an example figure in their advertising.

    Hadnt thought about that to be honest. The original deal said 1200 and thats what was stated in the tc when i signed up. Maybe it will be higher. Another card i hold has a limit of 1700. Fingers crossed.

    agreed. therefore i would try to split the purchase into two transactions.

    Yep, just an illustration.

    CCs never (in my experience) tell you the limit until your application has been accepted. The limit is based on scoring.

    yeah it will likely be higher than £1200.. mine stated that example figure but came through a £9100 :D
