My son is now using Doodle Maths on iPad; which is only a one off payment of £6 a child. It's easy to use, does a great maths assessment first and then sets daily short maths exercises with two lessons a week. There is a maths game section where you play maths games using the stars you earns from the daily exercises. My son is very doing well on it. I also use Letts Make It Easy books which are colourful and easy to follow.
Another great app is Dragon Box 5 & 12! Learn Algebra in a game!
Do you know any other great fun learning apps for primary and secondary school? :T
