Gesture of goodwill question.....please help

Hi, I filed my claim on MCOL 10 days ago and it was issued last Monday, on Thursday i received a letter from Abbey stating "we're sorry you are unhappy with the charges etc etc...." and offered me £785 including the cancellation of any charges due to be taken from my account, this is well below a third of the amount i'm claiming back, also, I dont believe they were aware that i'd started my MCOL proceedings when they sent me this letter, What is my next step here, given that ive already started the ball rolling via court?, Can i send them a letter back stating i accept as part payment without prejudice?, Or can i also send them a letter refusing their offer?

you could send of a letter refusing the money.you might find they pay the money in your account anyway.if they do send a letter accepting the money as part payment without prejudice,imform court of what they paid you and then carry on regardless.good luck
