I am writing with regard to a parking fine I received yesterday namely November 05 2014. it informs me that I am liable tp pay a parking fine for the date October 9th 2014. It was on that day that I went upto Birmingham to pick my son, daughter in law and grandchildren up from the aiport after spending 2 weeks with family. on entering the airport and driving up I was unsure where exactly I was to pick them up and was getting rather anxious after travelling from south wales and not knowing the aiport well so I pulled over to get my bearings whilst trying to phone my son knowing he had landed and was somewhere in the airport. even though I did not leave the car, I was informed by the company that I was parked on side of road for 3minutes and did not leave my car in that time. what are my legal standings? thanks.the penalty if for £100

Welcome to MSE by the way - we WILL help you and we want to help. I know you are probably not forum savvy but (as an analogy) wouldn't you read a newspaper article before posting a comment on it? ...same thing here. The top threads tell all, then you can ask here in a reply, where you need further help (and we WILL help but cannot do this from scratch for people who just shout 'help - but I haven't read anything here'.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
