Is it down to the likes though or the video? Could you start using Instagram? I'm on it but just follow never post, although one of my friends follows me, I don't know why I don't post

The official line is “although a panel of judges will make the final decision, the amount of likes a video has will be taken into consideration”. So ultimately, I don’t think the winner will necessarily be the one with the most likes, but it can’t harm your chances.

I just wish the closing date would hurry up!! I have joined Instagram but I don’t really know what I’m doing and haven’t posted the video on there. Xx

I’m poorly sick . Proper poorly. My eyes and nose are constantly leaking, sore throat, chesty cough. Feel sorry for myself!!

DS2 got back yesterday. He had an amazing time and is pleased he went, but he was close to tears when we picked him up as he’d missed us. He woke me at 1.30am this morning, loaded with cold too :(. It’s not much fun trying to look after someone else when you aren’t well yourself. DH then threw a partial seizure into the mix :eek:. Sometimes I can’t catch a break!!

Video has dropped to 4th in the likes stakes. I can’t think of any other ways to boost it by more. I can’t understand some of the other videos havin 500-odd views and 900 likes (??!!), when mine has 2.4k views and 362 likr. How does that work?

I'm not 100% with Instragram, it's just a mass of pictures and I can't always tell which comment belongs to which picture.

Have you watched the rival videos, what are they like?

Roll on the closing date - we'll all be nervous wrecks by then :rotfl:

Some of the rival videos are really good SA, others not so much. It really depends what they are looking for. Some are really clever and creative - singing songs etc, but not sure how that will translate into filming out in Florida. Some haven’t stuck to the rules - ie they had to start with certain words and be 60 seconds or less. If the video that is 2 minutes long wins I’ll create havoc - imagine what I could’ve done with that extra minute of rambling :rotfl::rotfl:. Some families have cute little kids/babies, so that might be what they’d prefer, you never know.

Forgot to say earlier, lost 2lbs this week and got my stone and a half award :T Xx

Happy Mother’s Day all. Thinking of those without their Mums or children too Xx

Woke up at 6am, which of course was only ‘really’ 5am :mad:. Feeling better than yesterday so hopefully I’m on the mend now. We are all supposed to be getting together at MiL’s - my Mum, Sis and Grandma too. We all bring something for a buffet and then no one person has to do all the cooking. Really want to see everyone but don’t want to pass on my germs either. Haven’t made any food as I’ve not been well enough, but shouldn’t really be touching food anyway, so need to go buy something ready made if we are going. Decisions, decisions.

Today would’ve been FiL’s Birthday too, so a nice way to remember him.

One week today until Tenerife :j. Hope we are all well for that :eek: Xx

Happy Mother’s Day Lucky and I hope you’re having a lovely day. Congrats on the weight loss award, keep up the good work! You never know whose video the judges will pick so “never say never” and everything crossed for you. Isn’t it lovely when your child has a brilliant time but is SO happy to be home? I loved that when it happened to me, a VERY long time ago!! Am still thinking that DH’s seizure is fall related; perhaps worth mentioning? Of course I’m probably totally wrong!
