  • Thanks Wannabe :A.

Did a broadband/phone switch this morning. Fed up of T@lkT@lk and contract is ending so went with Plusn3t. Clicked through top cashback and got £85 :j. Monthly bill is similar to before, so will be like getting a few months free.

Not a lot else happening here today. Boys both online :o and keeping themselves entertained, so I’m just catching up on washing/ironing/emails/competitions etc etc. We could do with some bits of shopping but I’ll decide later if I can be bothered to go or if I stretch things until tomorrow!!

Glad you enjoyed your hotel stay, what a thoughtful present :)

Well done on the switch, you've reminded me I need to try and reduce my Virgin package bill or switch. I would get rid of the TV part if it was just me, although I'm pretty certain Mr SA only watches Freeview and DD is either playing online computer games or watching her Netflix.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • I'm doing the virgin thing too. Fingers crossed we are lucky xx
5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
    Currently CC £23,674.36 /£14,895.41/£14315.42
    Mortgage £28,214.65/ £26,254.71/ £25,746.43
    By end 2020 I want CC at £ 19,000.00.
By end 2021 I want CC at £10,000.00
  • DS1 went back to school today. DS2 still off until Thursday (which DS1 thinks is “SO UNFAIR”).

Plusn3t switch is going ahead fine. T@lkT@lk are charging me £2.10 to leave them *insert rolling eyes smiley*, which I can cope with. Cashback for our Edinburgh trip, with a few other bits, is now payable, so have transferred just over £11 to my bank account. The plusn3t money will take a good few weeks yet.

Manager from the pub restaurant where we had the dire meal for Mum and Auntie’s birthday is sending me a £100 gift card in response to my complaint :T. So we will all be going back at some point to give it another chance. Lord help them if it’s awful again :rotfl:.

DH had lots of ‘waves’ last night and had an angry outburst in a car park today (to be fair the guy had blocked me in and wasn’t moving to let me out). He just loses it and thinks later :(.

    Hope DH is okay

I can't believe DS doesn't go back until Thursday! I wish we had extra time off :rotfl:

DS2 is having extra days to allow the teachers to move into the new school building. They’ve been back at work since Monday but they don’t have the pleasure of the [STRIKE]rabble[/STRIKE] little darlings until Thursday. To be fair, I’m not in a rush for him to go back. I like them being off (hormones aside) Xx

  • Hi lucky I hope you don't mind me joining your merry band of followers?

I am in total awe of you and what you have achieved. I started to read this diary after seeing your supportive posts on other people's diaries but then read your first diary first and came back to this one. It's been like riding a rollercoaster following you. You deserve a medal. I am a little scared though - I have two boys (6.5 & nearly 4) and your diary has given me a condensed idea of what to expect - all ready dreading the teenage years

You have been my Christmas reading - suppose I ought to go back to the book I downloaded to my kindle weeks ago :rotfl:

Looking forward to cheering you on and supporting where I can. :D

    Love BB50 xx

Great news about the gift card. I expect if you book a table for 27 again they'll definitely know who'll be turning up and and put 100% effort in :rotfl:

Hope DH has calmed down and is feeling OK. Hubby can be the same. He can't be doing with people who don't have any common sense or don't show consideration and isn't afraid to tackle them about it :o It's a cross I bear, until I need him to sort something out for me and then I think he's wonderful and go wobbly at the knees :rotfl:
  • Good news about the gift card and the cashback from the broadband switch :T.
