This year is slightly different Hairy, as the primary school have been granted extra pupil free days either side of the Christmas/New Year holidays so they can move into their new building. The original building was built in the 60’s and is now insufficient. DH actually went there!! They’ve been building a new one in the current playground/fields, and when they are all moved in they will flatten the old one to make a new playground. It’s exciting and sad at the same time! DS2 is now off until 10th Jan, much to DS1’s disgust! He breaks up from High School on Friday and then goes back in on the 8th Jan.

It will bug me though :o.

Luckily I am currently past caring:o

  • Met my Sister at Costc0 today with DH and DS2. She bought us lunch in the cafe there :A which was nice. Got a few bits and bobs, all wants not needs :o. Feel a little guilty now.

Won 20p on Tobc@shback, £1 Amazon voucher with GFK, and £1 C0sta voucher in an instant win prize draw. Been ages since I won three things in one day, just a shame they weren’t all a bit bigger . Not being ungrateful though, will take anything offered :D.

DH is in a mood tonight because he’s not allowed to drive. This has not changed in 7 and a half years, but for some reason it’s getting him down tonight :(.

  • It's hard not to be tempted by wants at Christmas time. Good about the wins however small :).

I hope DH feels in a better mood soon.

Well done on the wins. Don't feel too guilty about your wants otherwise it'll take the shine off what you've bought - take it from one who knows :o

Hope DH doesn't let not being able to drive get him down too much.

    Have a lovely weekend. :)

Every so often Mr SA goes off on one about driving. It's hard for them but they have a brain injury it's for safety reasons, both them and the general public. Hopefully he'll put it to the back of his mind soon.

    Take care xx

  • Thanks all. DH has been better in terms of depression today, but has been a bit angry/snappy and had a massive fall out with DS1 tonight :(.

Prior to the row we’ve had a good day. This morning I took some money round to a friend, as I’ve been selling some things for her on eBay. She gave me £20 of it back as a thank you :A. I then called in to see MiL as she’d had a letter from HMRC, so I sorted that for her too. DS1 finished school at lunchtime, so the four of us went to the cinema to see the new annimated Grinch film which we all thought was fab.

Oakley’s hamper prize arrived today and was much more than expected :T

  • Not a huge deal to report, been getting the house nice and clean and tidy for Santa :j.

DS1 continued to be a jerk so had his phone confiscated. Told him he wasn’t an adult yet, nor my equal and hopefully the message got through after some time without the phone. Sometimes I think DH is too quick to argue with DS1 or blow things out of proportion, but then other times DS1 is just horrid.

Today should be a NSD :D.
