You and me both needing tonnes of patience with OHs, I feel your pain :(

Echoing what Beanie says, you always seem to be at the bottom of your list, I think you need to be a bit more selfish xx

All of us with healthy OH have days where we want to tell them, where Togo, I can’t imagine th3 frustration, when the cause is heightened by the inhpjury, hoping today is better than yesterday,

  • (((PLMBL)))

I admire you for looking after your DH 24/7 - I found it a struggle managing my DH's condition but at least I had a break as I worked.

As you know I have walked away, the main reason was not his illness but it came a close second.
I know it might be seen as selfish but I needed to put my self first for once.

Could you make some time for just you?
  • Thanks everyone, I think you are right I need to make more time for me. I’m sick of being the boring sensible one who puts everyone else first and spends more time being worried than chilled/happy. I’ve been feeling very flat/numb and it’s scared me a bit as I’m usually so emotional.

So this morning didn’t go to plan. Woke to find water pouring through the ceiling from the loft. The ball float had eroded and broken off in the tank, so the tank was working overtime thinking it was empty . Best Mate came to the rescue and it actually only cost £2.50 to fix which I’m chuffed about as it could have been MUCH worse. Lots of clearing up to do though :(.
