  • The party was a fantastic success. Everyone said how fab it was which makes me very happy. I’m pleased it’s over though. Remind me when I’m 50 that I don’t want a party :rotfl:. The night itself is great, the build up is too stressful!!!!

I did amazingly well for presents and feel very blessed. I have cash, vouchers, jewellery, smellies, designer gear, chocolates, candles and enough alcohol to open a pub . So lucky.

    My feet hate me today.

  • If anyone deserves a good party it is you. Life has led you down an extremely difficult road which somehow you manage to navigate with a great deal of resilience and humour. You always put your family first with little thought about your needs and wants. For your family you are the lynchpin that holds it all together, which at times can be stressful, very stressful!
Your friends and family have shown their appreciation with their gifts to you, I think it is the one time when they can physically show you just how much you are loved and appreciated for everything you do. Enjoy every gift you received and just remember, 'life begins at 40'.You are an inspiration to many.
  • Thank you Beanie and Hairy. Hillwalker, thank you so much for your lovely post. I really did feel the love last night. In my speech I thanked everyone for their love, support and friendship and I practically got a standing ovation :o.
