Thanks Chev, I know what you mean about being piggy in the middle. I want to let DH parent but I want to protect my baby too. It's a hard one but thankfully today has been better.
Re being debt free, I'm going to start building up an emergency pot for the time being and maybe loosen the purse strings slightly for a few more treats. I'd be happy with just no days where I have like 10p to my name though!
MiL has booked us all a summer holiday :j. We are all going, her and the dog included, to a lodge with a hot tub!! She is brilliant XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Hi lucky
Sorry to hear about DH and DS1. Hopefully you can keep control - I am sure its difficult for you.
Glad you managed to get to work (I wanted to say some 'me' time but of course working is not really Lucky time is it!?) and everything was fine. Sure it did you good.
The holiday sounds lovely - what a great treat for you all! xx

Hi Lucky,
Just had a quick catch up. Hope the pain in your leg has improved and :j for having the holiday to look forward to:j you really deserve it.
Teenage years for boys are very tricky aren't they? My DS is 15 now and his relationship with DH has been a very up-down thing - both flare up in anger in seconds, and DH doesn't have much positive parenting experience - he had a very poor relationship with his own dad. I often have to mediate but then feel like I'm mummy-ing too muchit's a difficult balance to achieve. Must be even harder with the DH health issues to take into account. Any argument between them always ends up with ""when I was you age I was already working...etc etc" etc. I got so fed up of hearing this I now end up saying "Do you really want your kids to have the same childhood you had?" It made him stop and think, but he doesn't remember from one argument to the next time! DH has no patience, but now they both like cinema and I have stopped going with them to allow them alone time together (if just sitting and watching a screen together).

It is difficult letting go and letting DH parent.
I know this feeling only too well. Thankfully we are well past all of that now.
You have been 'parent' to all three of them for such a long time. But the boys need to have input from their dad, maybe with you keeping an eye from the sidelines?business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Thanks all, sound advice and positivity as usual. Much appreciated Xx
Pain in leg comes and goes in twinges. No real triggers and I'm just about coping. Didn't go to gym today though and went out for lunch instead. DH and I have just started watching Game of Thrones (6 years after everone else!) so we have been binge watching the first series on the android box. Nice to have some chill out time, even if it did involve having to explain to DH who everyone is and what is going on all the time!!
Off to parkour soon so need to make an early tea for the boys. I'm still full from lunch!Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

DH has had a partial seizure tonight
. His hand started shaking and then he started chewing etc. Hoping it doesn't lead to anything else.
DS2 went to bed saying he was poorly. He said he was freezing and wanted to get wrapped up but he was hot to the touch. Have given him some calpol.
Think I'm in for a 'fun' eveningXx

Well both 'boys' slept all night but I have poorly DS2 under his duvet on one sofa at the minute, and a very washed out DH on the other! DH slept in this morning which is unlike him, and he just says he feels energy less. DS2 is very pale with a temperature.
Car failed it's MOT this morning. It's still in the garage being fixed and rough estimate is £190.
