  • One day Buffy, one day :D.

Took the boys swimming this morning and then treated them to a burger meal. DH and I had soup when we got home instead, saving both pennies and calories. Also spent £18 in @ldi.

Off to make a curry for tea and then I'm going to sit on my derriere watching highbrow tv all night (strictly, xfactor, I'm a celeb :rotfl:).

  • 5 brothers Sparky :eek::eek:. Are you the only girl?

This morning DH was meant to go for a run with a pal, but it was called off as the lad has hurt his knee and then it lashed down. I'll admit to being disappointed to have lost my alone time, but I have to say DH has been ok today. We went Christmas shopping instead (well Christmas looking anyway), and bought a few cards and small gifts.

Family Fun Friday, DH's choice and he wanted to stay in and watch a film. Very MSE :money:. We watched Men in Black 3 which we've all seen before but DH couldn't remember it.

I am indeedy! I am lucky though they are (most of the time) amazing brothers. So I do understand pre teen boys and there behaviour!!

I am glad you watch Men in Black 3 again and if it makes you feel better my DH forgot we had seen that too! He thought it was MiB2 haha! xx

  • I don't have any brothers Sparky, do you have one spare I could borrow? :rotfl:.

So my Sister has mentioned in passing how much her wedding is costing and all the things she has to pay for, and I was feeling guilty that I owed her just under £400. She hasn't for one minute made me feel I have to pay her back, but I wanted to, so I have a confession to make....

I've made a cash transfer from the Barcl@ycard I've just cleared. It was offered on a 0% deal and I have until August to pay it back. This bit is all good because I haven't increased my debt, just transfered who I owe it too and have given myself longer to clear it. However, the naughty bit is that I transfered more than the £400 I needed and will use the rest to help out with Christmas etc. It's cost me a total of £17.10 in fees but it's lifted a lot of worry and I loved surprising my Sis with the money.

Lost 2lbs at Chub club Xx

  • Lucky you are welcome. I'll keep the youngest ( I am his 'second' mum) but you can have your pick of the rest! They are useful as they are all tall (over 6 foot) and very good at cooking and cleaning (we taught them well!) haha.

So glad you've sorted your sister out. Sometimes a little £17 to make us feel like we are doing well is worth every penny. If it helps you to mentally feel better then its a no brainer! Until August gives you a goal too. xx

  • Awww Lucky you are so kind wanting to get your sister paid back. You've done so well paying off your debt so I'm sure this little bit won't be any different.

  • Bit late (!) but I think it was a good plan to pay off sister, and make things easier at Christmas. Life is so short- too short to keep waiting to enjoy ourselves.

Congrats on the weight loss. and sorry about the cold sore.

    Nevertheless she persisted.
